I am sorry to tell you that Stephen Bristow passed away on 30th November.

Stephen was well known to those who played and umpired in Kent and the old East region where he was both an umpire and umpire coach.

Respected and liked by all there are many umpires that he coached and passed as Level 1 colleagues. He has spent the last few seasons at Marden Russets HC and before that he was at various clubs, including Cobdown Hockey Club.

He has been ill for a few months but was able to umpire lower team games until a couple of weeks ago. He will be missed by many.

On behalf of the President, Life Presidents, Vice Presidents and Club Management Committee, we plan to have a minute silence before games that take place on Saturday.
